Welcome all members to HotLava Gaming!

HotLava Gaming is a safe and fun environment where you can play on a server that is not just fun, but, exciting. I have been told by a lot of Garry's Mod players that most Jailbreak server are unsafe.

I decided to fix the problem with HotLava Gaming. We have rules that must be followed and that are really serious to us. So, if anyone were to not follow those rules, they would either be kicked, banned, or permanently banned.

Here are the rules that should be followed here:General Rules

  1. Do not disrespect or harass other players
  2. Refrain from using excessive CAPS.
  3. Do not exploit the map or use any sort of hacks. Exploiting the map involves accessing areas outside of the map and areas where you are invulnerable to taking damage. Seat-Glitching
  4. Staff will always have the final word.
  5. Do not have a name that may be deemed offensive or insulting to other players.
  6. Endless Community is an English-speaking community. Please speak English on the server so it makes communication easier between staff and other players.
  7. Advertising things not to do with our community is strictly prohibited. This involves advertising other communities, servers or websites.
  8. Claiming false reports of rule-breaking is strictly prohibited. If you are making an RDM report, please use the admin-chat and give a brief summary of what happened to go along with it.
  9. Trolling and Flaming are strictly prohibited from EndlessServers.
  10. Do not impersonate staff.

Server Rules

  1. Do NOT RDM (Random Deathmatch - The act of killing another player for no/invalid reason).
  2. Do NOT RVK (Random Votekick - The act of voting to kick another player for no/invalid reason).
  3. Do NOT Prop Kill (Killing players with map or spawned props)
  4. Do NOT Prop Spam (Spawning props continuously)

  6. Do NOT mic spam. Mic spam involves continuously using your microphone for an extended amount of time.
  7. Inmates (Prisoners) are not permitted to opening the cell doors. If an inmate is found opening the cells, they’re KOS.
  8. Once cell doors are open, they’re to remain open until the next round. Players that are found to close the cell doors, whether prisoner or guard, will be deemed slayable.
  9. The last inmate (Prisoner) alive may give a Last Request (LR), provided that he/she has not rebelled and that the current round is not a Freeday.
  10. The death of a warden results in a Freeday.
  11. A day can not be repeated more than 3 times in a row.
  12. Delaying the round is prohibited. Delaying is the act of deliberately causing the round to go on longer than it should.
  13. If you are planning to go AFK, please move yourself to the spectator team.
  14. Gunplanting (the act of giving weapons to a prisoner as a guard without the warden’s consent) is not allowed on the server.
  15. Favoritism (the act of allowing specific players to have an advantage over other players) is prohibited.
  16. Ghosting is prohibited. Examples of ghosting involves:

Game Information / RulesWarden Rules

  1. Only the WARDEN may give orders to the inmates (Prisoners).
  2. Only the WARDEN can open cell doors unless the warden commands another Guard to do so for him/her.
  3. Do NOT claim warden for more than 3 times in a row unless no other Guard with a mic is present. Give more players the chance to become warden.
  4. Before claiming warden, be sure to have a clear, clean voice and microphone. Speak loud and clearly into your microphone to ensure all players hear your orders.
  5. If orders are not given by 9:30, the round results in a Freeday.
  6. Doors must be opened by 9:00, else the round results in a Freeday.
  7. Warden is ineligible for LGKA (Last Guard Kills All). Only the last GUARD is eligible for LGKA.
  8. Do NOT extend KOS areas. (ex: “Under catwalk is KOS”)
  9. If a prisoner asks for a repeat, you must repeat the order towards the prisoners. A prisoner can only ask for a repeat every 2 minutes.
  10. You are able to deny a LR if a freeday was requested. You may deny the first last request of a prisoner, but you must accept the second last request given. Days deemed ridiculous (ex: No-clip day) are to be denied.
  11. You are NOT permitted to restrict players’ movements. Restricting players’ movement consists of the warden stating “Crouching is KOS” or “Walking left is KOS”. The warden stating “AFK Freeze” does not pertain to this rule.

Guard Rules

  1. Guards may KOS (Kill on Sight) any inmate (Prisoner) who is found rebelling or if an inmate is found in a KOS area. (KOS areas for different maps will be listed in the forums. A KOS area will also be notified to the player upon entering the area)
  2. Guards are not permitted to camp in KOS areas. Do not sit in a KOS area for more than 30 seconds.
  3. Guards can not give orders to inmates unless told to do so by the warden.
  4. Avoid prisoner surfing during rounds that require prisoners to jump or crouch.
  5. If the warden appoints himself as the designated shooter, the guards may not kill non-rebellious prisoners.
  6. Guards are required to ask prisoners to drop their weapon if they have a pistol or a knife. Prisoners that are in posession of a rifle are automatically KOS.

Miscellaneous Terms

  • Last Request (LR) - A request that the last prisoner receives at the end of the round, provided that he/she has not rebelled. When the last prisoner gets LR, he/she can decide what day/action will occur next round.
  • Death Request (DR) - A non-mandatory request that the last prisoner receives at the end of the round. This request allows the last prisoner to choose how he/she would like to die by either choosing an option on the F4 menu or by stating how he/she would like to die.
  • Freeday - A overriding type of day whereas all commands stated by the warden do not apply to the prisoner(s) who are currently having a freeday that round. KOS Areas and rebellious actions still apply to freedays.
  • Warday - A type of day whereas the prisoners face off against the guards. Prisoners are allowed to perform rebellious actions and enter guard-only zones.
  • Siege Day - A type of day whereas the prisoners face off against the guards. Unlike warday, a siege day will have guards camp in a specific position on the map. Guards are not allowed to abandon the chosen area for siege day.
  • LGKA (Last Guard Kills All) - A term used for when a guard must kill the remaining players. LGKA only applies when there is only 1 guard (non-warden) alive on the guard team (3+ Guard Team).
